Job Vacancy: Quality Control Inspector for Offshore Projects
Company Overview
Europe’s energy transition is among the greatest challenges of our time. The goal is to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. The Netherlands and Germany have set ambitious goals to expand offshore wind energy. By 2030, they aim to reach a capacity of 30 and 22.2 Gigawatts, respectively. Energy from offshore wind farms in the North Sea will play a crucial role in this. TenneT guarantees that this energy will reach the mainland in the most environmentally friendly way possible. We have developed the 2GW program with a unique transnational approach to increase the pace and efficiency of the energy transition.
Unit Large Projects Offshore NL (LON)
Based on the Energy agreement, the Roadmap Offshore wind energy 2030 and the ambition to realise additional windcapacity prior to 2030, a roll-out strategy is being prepared for the medium term, including the IJmuiden Ver (DC) projects. This results in a commitment for TenneT to realise at least 2x (with potential up to 5) 2GW HVDC Grid Connection Systems which bring the power from offshore wind-farms in the North sea to the Dutch electricity grid to be commissioned between 2028 – 2030.
Job Responsibilities
Supports package lead (SPL) and QC coordinator with review all quality deliverables from the vendors against the Employer’s Requirements.
Support the discipline: electrical/instrumentation and control/automation teams with specific quality related issues or documents.
Monitors the execution of Inspection and Test Plans specified in the Inspection Notification from the EPCI Contractor for the vendor manufacturing phase.
Witness inspection activities from client side for these vendor packages based on risk based inspection schedule.
Frequent travelling to the vendor’s construction locations.
Facilitates remote inspections by video connection to TenneT office.
Report and monitor all quality related problems for each package.
Monitor the implementation of Employer’s Requirements with regards to electrical/ instrumentation and control/automation equipment of vendor packages.
Align with the TenneT QC coordinator about the inspections, ITPs and quality issues.
Act in the role of Client (End-user, Employer) when witnessing tests and inspections.
Job Requirements
Extensive experience with offshore projects in the Oil & Gas, Renewables or Shipping industry.
Experience in reviewing and drafting QC plans and ITP’s.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in QC inspection role.
Knowledge of International Codes and Standards (i.e. BS/IEC/ISO/API/ATEX/EEMUA) relating to electrical and instrumentation work.
Experience with variety of electrical, instrumentation and control/automation equipment inspections.
Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
Speaking Dutch is an advantage, but not mandatory.

You have problem solving skills – not only identify issues, but review supplier action / recovery plan as well;
Extensive experience with offshore projects in the Oil & Gas, Renewables or Shipping industry;
Experience in reviewing and drafting QC plans and ITP’s;
Minimum of 10 years of experience in QC inspection role;
Knowledge of International Codes and Standards (i.e. BS/IEC/ISO/API/ATEX/EEMUA) relating to electrical and instrumentation work;
Experience with variety of electrical, instrumentation and control/automation equipment inspections (a.o. switchgear, breakers, bushings, electric drives, automation systems);
You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing;

- We verzamelen de benodigde stukken indien gevraagd zoals referenties, diploma's, motivatiebrief, VOG etc...
- Op basis van data bepalen we een kansrijk uurtarief voor de offerte. Jij hebt zelf natuurlijk het laatste woord in het biedingstarief.
Wij houden van eerlijk en transparant zaken doen.
Als je aan slag gaat via Bij Oranje hanteren we de
volgende voorwaarden:
- We vragen 10% marge over je uurtarief voor de duur van de opdracht.
- Altijd snel je geld: Zodra de opdrachtgever betaalt, staat het bedrag binnen één werkdag op je rekening.
- Als jij je opdracht goed doet en daardoor bij de dezelfde opdrachtgever een nieuwe opdracht mag doen dan ben je daar volledig vrij in! We hanteren geen concurrentie-/ relatiebeding.
Wij houden van eerlijk en transparant zaken doen.
Als je aan de slag gaat via Bij Oranje Detachering dan
hanteren we de volgende voorwaarden:
- We vullen samen een loonheffingsverklaring in en tekenen een overeenkomst van opdracht.
- We rekenen 15% marge van je uurtarief voor de duur van de opdracht. Het resterende bedrag verlonen we volledig als brutoloon.
- Zodra de opdrachtgever betaalt, staat jouw netto betaling binnen één werkdag op je rekening.
- Als jij je opdracht goed doet en daardoor bij dezelfde opdrachtgever een nieuwe opdracht mag doen dan ben je daar volledig vrij in! We hanteren geen concurrentie-/relatiebeding.
