Metropoolregio Eindhoven (MRE) is committed to a leap in scale in the physical living environment. The 21 municipalities in our region are working together on the major tasks of today: sufficient and affordable housing, a well-functioning mobility system, future-proof energy infrastructure, and high-quality work locations. To make this acceleration possible, the MRE Realization Company will be established in 2026. Within the Mobility theme, we work in a project-based, transparent, and result-oriented manner on a coherent network of (fast) cycling routes, Brainport hubs, smart public transport solutions, and a coherent approach to behavior and employers. The Brainport Accessible program team is part of this. Brainport Accessible is a temporary program (until 2030) and primarily focuses on achieving structural behavior change. We work together with companies, educational institutions, and governments on concrete solutions such as hubs, shared mobility, bicycle stimulation, and collective transport. The program team consists of approximately 30 professionals: program manager, project leaders, marketing and communication advisors, mobility brokers, and behavior and data specialists.
The role
Brainport Accessible is looking for a Senior Advisor corridor and area approach. This role has two aspects: you are both a strategic advisor and an executive project leader – someone who manages, maintains an overview, and makes results visible. You emphatically coordinate with the Metropoolregio Eindhoven, the sub-regions, and individual municipalities. You identify where urgency, potential, and energy are. And with a strong substantive advice, you know how to focus together with partners, create support, and achieve concrete results.
You ensure that projects related to sustainable mobility and behavior change can be carried out around the physical corridors and clusters of business parks or residential locations in the Brainport region. You always do this from a joint agenda and a clear analysis. In this, you translate regional goals into concrete area tasks, you manage the progress of the area programs, and you ensure that the effects of the products and services that are deployed in the areas become visible.
In addition, your focus in 2026 will be on further shaping the Hindrance Approach (in collaboration with Rijkswaterstaat and the RVT) and the Spread and Avoid Approach (with Brabant Partners). You work closely with mobility brokers, municipalities, employers, and the management team of Brainport Accessible.
Your tasks
Together with partners, draw up coherent packages of measures that contribute to sustainable mobility and behavior change. You explicitly link this to priority corridors or infrastructural developments from KTM-1, KTM-2, and the MMMP;
Advise on and draw up area-oriented development agendas with priorities, goals, a division of roles and tasks between the stakeholders, and progress reports;
Present area results and lessons learned to partners, MRE, sub-regions, municipalities, and program management.
By means of a clear briefing (including start documents) of mobility brokers and project leaders, be directing in the execution of area projects;
Together with the M&E expert and Data specialist, set up a monitoring and evaluation structure within the area approach, including measurement plans and periodic progress reports;
Stakeholder management: working on a joint agenda with municipalities, employers, education, and market parties.
The role of Senior Advisor corridor and area approach is still in full development. Therefore, an evaluation and adjustment are made every quarter to ensure that the task is being worked on with the right effort and expertise. The context in which you work is dynamic and progress depends on various factors. Assessment of performance is therefore based on effort and the quality of work.
Accountability and collaboration
You report monthly to the program manager and regularly consult with colleagues within the program. You are part of a learning team of project leaders within Brainport Accessible and participate in joint program days every quarter.
Execution
The assignment is carried out on a hire basis. You use your own work resources. Brainport Accessible provides an Office365 account and access to internal systems.
Your commitment is based on an average. The actual commitment is flexible and is determined by the need in the program. You are present in the region at least 2x per week. Brainport Accessible has office space in Eindhoven (Melt TQ Strijp-T) where you are welcome.
Termination conditions
The assignment ends no later than December 31, 2026, or earlier when the agreed result has been achieved. If progress or quality is insufficient from the quarterly reports, the client reserves the right to terminate the agreement prematurely. The notice period is one month.
